Sean Kingston is an emerging reggae and hip-hop artist from Jamaica whose debut single "Beautiful Girls" was a major hit on US pop charts. The song borrows its bass line from Ben E. King's 1961 hit "Stand By Me."
While born in Miami, Kingston's family moved to Jamaica when he was six years old. Reggae legend Buju Banton is a close friend of Kingston's family and has acted as an advisor to the young artist. Kingston opened for Gwen Stefani on her 2007 Sweet Escape tour and was featured in an episode of children's show Yo Gabba Gabba.
Kingston has been featured on a number of singles by other hip-hop and pop artists including Flo Rida, Fergie and Lil Wayne.
