    On February 19, 2009, Delonas drew a cartoon, which was published in The New York Post of a dead chimp with cops standing over it, one with a smoking gun, and the other stating, "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill."The New York Post: Delonas for Wednesday February 18, 2009 (February 18, 2009) Among the many offended, Rev. Al Sharpton has spoken out against the illustration stating, "troubling at best given the historic racist attacks of African-Americans as being synonymous with monkeys." Sharpton plans to hold a protest on February 20, 2009. The New York Post has not apologized for running the cartoon, but rather stated, "It broadly mocks Washington's efforts to revive the economy.
