Sea World has three aquatic theme parks in the United States. The largest of these is in San Antonio, Texas.
Sea World San Antonio boasts five thrill rides, three children's rides, and numerous shows and exhibits.

Spongebob Squarepants at Sea World
August 10-17, 2009 marked the visit of Spongebob Squarepants of Nickelodeon fame to Sea World San Antonio. There were four daily screenings of episodes in the Sea Star Theater. Park admission covered the screenings with no additional cost.
In addition to a free photo of Spongebob while supplies lasted, Spongebob himself made an appearance before and after each screening, and he was available for photo opportunities with park guests.
Baby Beluga Birth
At 5:45 pm on Friday, June 12, 2009 in the main pool of Sea World, a baby beluga whale was born. The female calf weighed in at 90 pounds and 4ft, 7in. Her mother is Crissy, a 25 year old beluga whale that weighs 1400 pounds.
