Scrubs

The television comedy series Scrubs revolves around medical resident John Dornian, aka "J.D." (Zach Braff), and his fellow doctors, patients and hospital staff in Sacred Heart Hospital.

Aside from the rigorous daily duties of Sacred Heart, J.D. has daydreams that are vivid and creative, including musical numbers involving the entire cast. His best friend and surgical resident Turk is married to a hospital nurse named Karla, and they share J.D.'s apartment. J.D.'s foils are his attending doctors Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso, as well as a wily janitor determined to stand in J.D.'s way.

The January 6, 2008, season premiere of Scrubs takes place on a new network, after the switch to ABC and introduces new interns. Courteney Cox will guest star for three episodes as the new chief of medicine - Dr. Taylor Maddox.
