Set in the fictitious teaching hospital Sacred Heart, the American sitcom Scrubs focuses on the lives of a group of friends from their |medical internship through their residency and beyond. Each episode features multiple storylines which are thematically linked through the narration of the show's main character, J.D.. A major aspect of the show are J.D.'s daydreams which results in surreal vignettes throughout each episode.
