Scott Storch is a successful and controversial hip-hop producer from Canada. He has worked with famous clients including Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jessica Simpson and Chris Brown.
MTV.com reported on April 24, 2009, that Storch has been focusing on cleaning up his life after a long stint with cocaine addiction. He was said to have blown $30 million on coke, cars and partying. He was recently arrested for alleged grand theft auto after reportedly failing to return a Bently he leased. Storch has returned to the studio to work and is currently being supervised by a counselor who lives in his home. In June 2008, a Miami judge ordered police to arrest Storch after he missed a child support hearing. He was reportedly $500,000 in debt for taxes on his property. His agent has said Storch is trying to refinance his property to get his life in order. Vanessa Bellido, Storch's ex-girlfriend from high school and mother of his son, says "Scott's not a bad person ... Background
Storch got his start as a Philadelphia-based keyboardist with G. Love and Special Sauce, Schoolly D and The Roots.
His time with The Roots led Storch to extend his reach into producing and after contributing a keyboard riff to Dr. Dre's hit single "Still D.R.E.", Storch's producing career was launched.
