In 2008, Proctor appeared in 41 games and finished the season with a 6.05 earned run average and a 2-0 record for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Brief Bio
Proctor was originally drafted on June 1, 1995 by the New York Mets, but declined to sign so he could attend college. He then enrolled and played for Florida State University. Proctor was drafted again in 1998, this time signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 6, 1998. He was immediately placed with the Dodgers minor league affiliates for his first few seasons.Still playing in the minors, Proctor was traded on July 31, 2003 to the New York Yankees. He made his MLB debut the following season with the Yankees on April 20, 2004. Proctor continued to split the 2004 and 2005 seasons with the Yankees and the minors, including his first post season appearance in 2005. He joined the Yankees in the American League Divisional Series, which they lost to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Proctor earned a full roster spot with the Yankees in 2006, playing in 83 games, pitching 102.3 innings and finishing the season with a 3.52 earned runs average. He joined the Yankees again in 2007 for 52 games, then was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 31, 2007.MLB.com: Scott Proctor
