Scott Hannan is a Canadian ice hockey player, currently playing for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.
Career Highlights
Prior to playing in the NHL, Hannan played in the Western Hockey League for the Kelowna Rockets. He was drafted 23rd overall in the 1997 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks. He joined the Sharks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Kentucky Thoroughblades, the following year. Also during the 1998-99 season Hannan made his NHL debut, playing five NHL games. Hannan split two additional seasons between the NHL and the AHL, earning a full roster spot with the Sharks in 2000. He played a total of eight seasons in San Jose, then entered the free agency in 2007. On July 1, 2007, Hannan signed as a free agent with the Colorado Avalanche, joining them for all 82 regular season games in the 2007-08 regular season.
