  • Scott Gomez is an All-Star forward for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League. He formerly played for the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils, where he won two Stanley Cup Championships.

  • Career Highlights

    Prior to joining the NHL, Gomez played for the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League. He was drafted 27th overall in the 1998 NHL draft by the New Jersey Devils. He joined the Devils in 1999, for a quite successful first season in the league. He played all 82 regular season games, scoring 19 goals and 51 assists and earning the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's rookie of the year. Gomez also helped the team win the Stanley Cup Championship in 2000. He continued to be a key part of the Devils' team, assisting the team to another Stanley Cup Championship in 2003. Gomez stayed with the Devils until 2007, when he signed with the New York Rangers.
