Scott Eyre is a left-handed pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. After attending Southern Idaho Junior College, the Texas Rangers selected Eyre in the 9th round of the 1991 amateur draft. Eyre never played for the Rangers however, after three years as a minor league prospect, the Rangers sent Eyre to the Chicago White Sox for Esteban Beltre. Eyre made his major league debut for the White Sox on August 1, 1997. He also played for the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants, before joining the Cubs as a free agent in 2005.
