Scooter

A scooter is two-wheeled vehicle powered by foot, gas motor, or electric motor. It is a popular toy but more powerful models can be used as a cheap method of transportation.

Safety

The most common injuries on scooters happen to children under the age of 15. Often the injury is a fractured bone or dislocation of the hand or arm. Head and leg injuries are also fairly common.

To help prevent injuries, always wear safety gear such as helmets and elbow and knee pads. Lighter scooters should be used on smooth level surfaces and areas with traffic should be avoided. For children, always provide adult supervision.
