The Schnauzer is considered a working dog and can be of the Miniature, Standard or Giant variety. All three have a low shedding, wiry coat and are widely considered intelligent, comical and active.

Health Problems
The Schnauzer is a pure breed and is susceptible to various health issues common in all pure bred dogs. Those health problems include epilepsy,diabetes, and pancreatitis.
