Sawyer Brown is an American country music band that was formed in 1981. Originally the band was part of Don King's road band. When King retired, the group went out on their own. The group first appeared on the television show Star Search where they won the grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract. They have released twenty studio albums, three of which have been certified gold.
