Saving Silverman

Saving Silverman is a 2001 comedy film starring Jason Biggs, Jack Black, Steve Zahn and Amanda Peet. The film tells the story two guys who attempt sabotage their best friend's wrongful engagement to a domineering woman.

Darren Silverman (Jason Biggs) alienates himself from his two best friends Wayne and J.D. (Steve Zahn, Jack Back) after falling head-over-heels for the aggressive and controlling Judith Fessbeggler (Amanda Peet). Suffering the loss of Darren's company, and the dissolution of their Niel Diamond cover band Diamonds in the Rough, Wayne and J.D. are fed up and set out to ruin the relationship. After various failed attempts to chase off Judith, they decide to try and reunite Darren with his long-time love Sandy Perkus (Amanda Detmer), while simultaneously faking Judith's death.
