Saved by the Bell was is an American sitcom that aired Saturday mornings on NBC from 1989 until 1993. Mark-Paul Gosselaar starred as Zack Morris, a popular high-school student, who navigated his way through Bay Side High with the help of his friends Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond and Elizabeth Berkley.

During his appearance on the June 8, 2009 episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Mark-Paul Gosselaar conducted his entire interview as an adult Zack Morris, his Saved by the Bell character. During the program Gosselaar confirmed he would participate in Jimmy Fallon's plans for a reunion of the cast of the popular high-school sitcom.
