Save Friday Night Lights is a campaign to save the show on NBC from cancellation. A group of fans called the Dillion Panthers Booster Club have created an online petition and have started sending light bulbs in bulk to NBC to remind executives there to "keep the lights on". The fan group was created at the end of the second season in the winter of 2008. That spring NBC announced that it formed a partnership with DirecTV, and that the program would return for a third season on both networks.
