Sausage Balls

  • Sausage balls are a common Hors D'oeuvres or snacks served at parties and gatherings as they have a quick preparation time and are easy to make. The recipe originated from Bisquick, and was printed on the back of the box.
  • Quick Hors D'oeuvres

    Spicy:

    • 1 pound ground hot sausage
    • 1 pound mild sausage
    • 12 ounces of sharp cheese (grated and softened)
    • 12 ounces of mild cheese (grated and softened)
    • 4 cups Bisquick
    • 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce

    Mild:

    • 2 pound ground pork sausage
    • 4 cups biscuit baking mix
    • 24 ounces sharp cheddar cheese (grated and softened)

  • Directions

    1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Mix all ingredients together.
    3. Roll into small balls
    4. Place balls on cookie sheets.
    5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
    6. Insert tooth picks for easy eating
    7. Serve with Cheese Dip or barbecue sauce.
