Future of Saturn

Because of uncertainty of weather or not it could supply the vehicles, General Motors said it will shut down Saturn unit after Penske deal failed to commit. - September 30th, 2009

Penske's backed out of the sale when news came that the third company's board rejected plans to take over production of the Saturn line.
GM stated they will shut down the brand because of the failed plan and dealers will have to shut down by October 2010.
Saturn owners can get their cars serviced at Saturn dealerships until closure in 2010. After 2010 all Saturn owners will have to have their cars serviced at GM dealerships or third party mechanics.
