Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun, and it is the second largest planet in the Solar System. The planet's equator is surrounded by a large system of rings in space. Although other planets in the solar system feature similar rings, Saturn's are the largest and most visible.
In March 2009, a tiny new moon, orbiting inside one of Saturn's outer rings, was discovered by the international spacecraft Cassini. The moon measures about a third of one mile wide.NPR: Surprise!
