  • Sasha Vujacic is a guard with the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers. He has established himself with the team as a valuable and versatile role player. With his combination of height, and ball handling skills. He is also recognized as a reliable outside shooter.

    On August 28, 2009, Vujacic explained via his website that he was cut from the Slovenia National Basketball team due to the "politics and hidden agenda" behind the scenes of his country's national program.   • Early Life

    Aleksandar Sasha Vujacic was born in Maribor, SR Slovenia, SFR of Yugoslavia. His basketball career would start at a young age. He would play with Snaidero Udine of Italy at the Age of Sixteen. Then he would become a member of the Slovenian Junior National team.

  • Pro Career

    Vujacic was selected with the 27th pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. At a height of 6'7" Vujacic is seen as an excellent fit for the Lakers Triangle offense which favors tall guards. In his youth he would play as a point guard, but in the Lakers offense he is more of a scorer. His ball handling skills also make him versatile option off the bench, where he can come in as a Point Forward which is a staple of the triangle offense.
