Sasha Cohen is a world renown figure skating champion having competed in the Winter Olympic games, World Figure Skating Championships and U.S Figure Skating Championships. Sasha started her career as a gymnast and at the age of seven she switched to figure skating and won forth place in the Southwest Pacific Regional, Juvenile. Besides being a skater she has also written an autobiography entitled "Fire on Ice" and has appeared in several television shows. She headlines the Stars on Ice tour and had intentions of competing in the 2010 Winter Olympics. However, she was not able to secure one of only two spots on the olympic team. She had a disappointing showing at the US Championships in Spokane, Washington in January 2010. She made too many mistakes to medal. She had taken off several years after the 2006 olympics and was just not in top condition to compete with the other US ladies vying for the olympic spots.
