Sarah Wayne Callies is an American actress best known for her roll in the FOX television series Prison Break as Dr. Sara Tancredi. Callies studied at Denver's National Theater Conservatory where she obtained her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2002. Callies' first role on television was as Kate O'Malley, a recurring role on Queens Supreme and her first starring role was as Detective Jane Porter on Tarzan.
Prison Break

Callies' character was killed off in 2007. Producers say her character was written out due to related to contract disputes. However, in 2008 due to fans' overwhelming responses to her character being killed off, producers decided to bring her back on the show.
