For a full scenic view of Santiago, climb a flower-draped stairway called Santa Lucia Hill. Enjoy the day visiting art museums, fountains and statues at the top of the hill. Spend the day at the Metropolitan Zoo, which is said to have over 150 native and non-native species and beautiful botanical gardens or visit O’Higgins Park, Santiago's largest public park.

Cuisine
Santiago is heavily influenced by sea foods like clams, Chilean sea bass, abalone, mussels and sea urchins, all these dishes are served with rice and cooked with Spanish flavor. Other specialty dishes include the Pastel de Choclo, a beef and chicken pie that is topped with sweet corn, and the Santiago stew which includes chicken or beef along with corn, squash, basil and cazuela. Popular desserts include ice cream, pudding, Pie de Limon, lemon pie.
