Santa Trackers track the progress of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve as he makes his way around the world, delivering gifts to all the good boys and girls. In 2009, Christmas Eve was on Thursday, December 24, 2009. Santa is tracked by using global positioning systems and Google Earth. In 2008, Santa tracking took on a new dimension, as NORAD began using Google Earth and Twitter to help spread the word of Santa's location on Christmas Eve.
