Origins of the Wrap
"Tortilla Hall of Fame" member James Beaton first introduced the wrap to the UK. This eventually led to the UK's first wrap Restaurants called "Wrap it up!" Boston based "Sami's Wrap-N-Roll" claims that they invented the wrap. Former Major League Baseball player and manager Bobby Valentine also claims to have invented the wrap that is served at his restaurant. Regardless of origin, wrap and roll-up sandwiches are now sold are numerous restaurant locations throughout the world.
Turkey Apple and St Andre Chesse Wraps
Ingredients needed: 1 whole whole wheat tortilla, 3-4 ounces quality turkey sliced, 2 ounce St. Andre Cheese, 5-6 slices Granny Smith apples, 1 large leaf Romaine lettuce and a few twists black pepper. Lay out the wrap or tortilla cover with leaf lettuce. Put on turkey, brie and apples. Season with black pepper. Roll up the sandwich, cut in half. Use Dijon mustard as the condiment.
