  • Current Models

    SanDisk has several models of its Sansa player available. The latest is the Sanza Fuze released on March 28, 2008. The model was available in two, four, and eight GB memory capacities, with the 4 GB version including a 1.9-inch color screen.

    The Sansa Clip came out on October 9, 2007 and is similar to the smaller version of the iPod Shuffle. It is available in one, two and four GB format and has an FM tuner/recorder and microphone. It has been given positive reviews for its high sound quality.

  • Past Models

    The Sansa TakeTV was released on October 26, 2007. The device comes with a docking station and remote, and can playback DivX, Xvid, and M-PEG 4 files on an external screen. The player comes with a program called FanFare which is similar to Apple's iTunes. FanFare is expected to be compatible with future Sansa products.
  • iDont

    In 2006, SanDisk attempted to compete with Apple by launching an anti-iPod campaign. They used terms like "iSheep" and "iChimps" to refer to iPod users and put up promotional posters in some towns. They also created the iDont.com website, which was later replaced by LilMonsta.com.
