San Diego

The eighth largest city in the United States and the second largest city in California, the City of San Diego has a population of almost 1.3 million. The County of San Diego is home to three million. Over four thousand square miles in area, the county includes eighteen cities, including Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Del Mar, Escondido and La Mesa. San Diego has long been a center for surfing and skateboarding. Swamis Beach and Windansea Beach are two of the leading surf spots of San Diego. Rusty Surfboards, Sector 9 Skateboards and TransWorld Media are all based in San DIego. There is also a surf shop called Sun Diego. The San Diego area encompasses different types of physical and cultural geography.
