The San Diego Zoo in San Diego, California encompasses 100-acres, plus a 1,800-acre Wild Animal Park and a conservation research center. Open 365 days a year, patrons can find savings on admission by becoming members of the zoo, or with the help of coupons and discounts.

Becoming a member of the San Diego Zoo will get you the most savings. Benefits include unlimited admission to the zoo and park, two free guest passes, unlimited Africa Tram Safari, unlimited Skyfari aerial tram and a ZOONOOZ magazine subscription.c

Specials members enjoy include saving $1 on any entree, $10 off Flightline, 10 percent savings at the Treehouse Outlet Store and special zoo/park program discounts.

Internal zoo discountsc include:

Military discounts. All active-duty U.S. and foreign military personnel are given a free, one day pass with valid identification at all zoo ticket windows. Dependent family members will also enjoy a 10 percent discount off the zoo's one day pass. Discount tickets can be purchased through base Morale Welfare and Recreation, or ticket and tour offices at military based locations in the United States.

Senior discount. Seniors age 60 and up receive a 10 percent discount off the one day pass with valid identification.

Travel Agent discount. Travel Agents, wholesalers and tour operator receive a 50 percent discount off the one day pass with a valid IATA or IATAN card with picture ID. One accompanying guest is eligible to receive the 50 percent discount as well.

Zoo and Aquarium Employee discount. Zoo and Aquarium employees from accredited zoological organizations receive a complimentary one day pass with employee identification.

AAA discount. AAA members with valid AAA membership card can receive 10 percent off the one day pass for up to six people.

Airline and Cruiseline Employee discount. Airline and Cruiseline employees receive 50 percent off the one day pass with a company-picture ID badge or CLIA card.

Corporate discount. Discount tickets are available for corporate employees through advanced online purchase by emailing groupsales@sandiegozoo.org.

Kids' Free Days discount. Children who are 11 years old or under are eligible for free one day passes throughout the month of October every year.

Group discount. Groups of 15 plus receive a 10 percent discount off the one day pass. Meal Vouchers are also available for $11 a person. Arrange group reservations through the Reservation Sales Department at 619-718-3000 or 800-407-9534.
