• San Diego is the second largest city in California and it's situated on the southern coastline of the state, not far from Tijuana, Mexico. Rates are a bit extensive, but the room and resort amenities are worth the extra cost. There is an on-site spa, offering guest an assortment of treatment and salon services; in-room massages are also an option.

    The Aviara Golf resort was Conde Nast Traveler's number one pick for Southern California. There is also a golf academy that provides classes with "nationally recognised instructors."

  • Affordable Stay

    The Balboa Park Inn is an affordable, but not quite budget hotel in Uptown San Diego. Their cheapest rooms start just under $100 USD, but they include a private bathroom and a few even have a whirlpool tub. Each room in this "charming" inn are decorated different and each have their own distinctive style. The location can't be beat; with in walking distance to the San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park.
