Samwise Gamgee is a fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. He is the gardener and companion who accompanied Frodo Baggins on his journey to destroy the One Ring.

Samwise Gamgee is a fictional character who lives in the Shire in Middle-earth. He is of the race of Hobbit and is the gardener and friend of Frodo Baggins.
In The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Frodo and Samwise embark on a long journey to Mount Doom in order to destroy the One Ring. Samwise acts as a kind of servant and protector to Frodo and in the end becomes highly instrumental in making sure that the ring reaches the fires of Mount Doom.
