Samuel Bayer is a well known music video and commercial director from New York. He directed the videos for Nirvana's "Smell's Like Teen Spirit," Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," Blind Melon's "No Rain" and many others.
On February 12, 2009, it was announced that Bayer will take the directorial helm on the remake of 1980s horror classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street.
