The Samsung Epix is a smartphone with a touchscreen and a built-in optical mouse for on-screen navigation. The phone comes equipped with bluetooth capabilities as well as Wifi. It can be equipped with GPS navigational systems and a wide number of applications, or apps. The Epix is the successor to the Samsung Jack, and runs Windows Mobile, but is also compatible with some other programs as well. It is available through AT&T and if you do not wish to have a two year contract with them, you can get the phone for about two hundred dollars. If you don't mind having the contract, it'll be half of that price. The phone has been available to the public since October 21, 2008.
Reviews
Many people have said that what they like about the phone is that the pad for the optical mouse on the Epix is easier to use than many other smart phones because it is slightly larger, which makes it a little easier to use. One main dislike many have in common is the stiffness of the keyboard, which a lot of people say slows them down when online, texting, etcetera. The phone has most often been compared to its predecessor, the Jack, which looks very similar, the Nokia E71x and the HTC Pure. All are smart phones, and all are very different, but fans of the previously mentioned phones were reported to be fans of the Epix.
