Samantha Who?

Samantha Who? is an American comedy that premiered on ABC on October 15, 2007. The show stars Christina Applegate as Samantha Newly, an amnesia victim that must rebuild her life following a hit-and-run accident.

While the series was given a thirteen episode order in 2007 the original name, Sam I Am was in conflict with the Dr. Seuss estate. While trying to rename the show, promos for the series played without showing a title to the show. The idea in the promos was to show Applegate's character in a full state of amnesia, not even remembering the name of the show. ABC eventually came up the title Samantha Who? before the show premiered.
