Sam Raimi

Film maker Sam Raimi has directed and produced several films including Evil Dead and the Spider-Man film series. He created the adventure-fantasy series "Legend of the Seeker", that premiered November 1, 2008.

Prior to his mainstream films, Sam Raimi produced several low budget short films with Bruce Campbell while the two lived together in the 1980s. One of their films, Within the Woods, raised, $350,000, which the pair used to finance the highly successful cult horror film Evil Dead. Raimi continued producing films, including two more in the Evil Dead series.

Raimi was highly successful with the Spider-Man film series. Spider-Man 3 was released in 2007. There have been several unconfirmed reports of a Spider-Man 4 to be released in 2010. In April 2007, Raimi made news after expressing his interest in directing the film remake of The Hobbit. Guillermo del Toro later confirmed that he will likely be directing the fourth installment of the The Lord of the Rings Film Series.
