Samm Kass is a private chef to the Obama family in the White House. Before Barack Obama was elected to the presidency, Kass had been the Obamas private cook in Chicago. A representative for Michelle Obama says that while Kass will not be the only cook in the White House, he “knows what they like, and he happens to have a particular interest in healthy food and local food.” Kass will work aside White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford.
