Salzburg is the Austrian birthplace of classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Nestled in the Alps near the Austrian border with Germany, it is the fourth largest city in the country behind Vienna, Graz, and Linz in population, though it is steadily growing. This growing population also includes many students at the University of Salzburg and other universities in the city.
Tourists are drawn to the historic Old Town as well as the annual Salzburg Festival, a summer music event taking place in July and August.
Like most European countries, Soccer is a popular sport in Salzburg, and their professional team is FC Red Bull Salzburg (named for the energy drink company Red Bull that owns the team).
