Salt Lake City is the capital and the largest city in Utah. The city hosted the 2000 Winter Olympics and is popular for its winter activities and ski resorts.

Attractions
There are definitely a number of attractions in Salt Lake City, although sports and activities are the main attraction. The Grand America Hotel, situated right on main street, has been called one of worlds most "beautiful city hotels." Just this top rating makes this hotel more of a sight-seeing opportunity then a place to stay.The "most visited" place in Utah is Temple Square. Tours are available of the 10-acre lot, with guides speaking over 40 different languages. Free concerts by local artist are given in the Assembly Hall. Once your visit here is over, it's only a short distance to Salt Lake's Downtown district.
Activities
Winter sports are the most common of all activities in Salt Lake City. There are many highly-rated ski resorts, most right outside of the city. Be sure to visit one of these resorts if you're an avid skier or snowboarder.During the summer months, when the snow has melted, many of the resorts are still open for hiking, walking and biking. Other warm weather sports include, but are not limited to, golf, fishing, rafting and even ranches.
