Sally Field is an American film and television actress currently staring as Nora Holden Walker on ABC's Brothers & Sisters.
She became a household name in the mid-1960s for her roles on the TV series Gidget and The Flying Nun. She went on to receive Best Actress Academy Awards for 1979's Norma Rae and 1984's Places in the Heart.
Field's effusive 1985 Oscar acceptance speech is was widely satirized ("You like me! You really like me!").
