Introduction

Saints Row offers a free-form gameplay experience. After completing the first few missions, subsequent missions will aim to take down rival gangs in the city, one at a time or all at one time. There are also a variety of mini-games that may be used to increase respect and earn money. This walkthrough lists each of the gangs in order of difficulty after the tutorial mission: 3rd Street Saints.

3rd Street Saints

Synopsis: The 3rd Street Saints are your source of rescue from the gangs that have overrun your part of town.

Canonized
Rewards: $1,000 Cash
Unlocks: Natural Leader (Recruit one Homie), Wheel Woman cell phone

Watch the cutscene.
NOTE: The game begins with a tutorial in which you take on five of the 3rd Street Saints gang, starting with one wave of one target and continuing with two waves of two targets.
Spamming punches is the most effective form of fighting.
Lead the waves of two into the headstones to try avoid one while fighting the other.
TIP: Kick them when they raise their fists to block.
NOTE: While you do collect more cash for winning, either way you are accepted into the gang.

Back To Basics
Rewards: $500 Cash, 500 Respect
Unlocks: Crib

NOTE: Back to Basics is an extended tutorial in which you learn to buy weapons and perform other basic tasks to be successful in the game.
Purchase your weapon.
NOTE: You are now tasked with taking down some local gangsters.
Bring a buddy on the mission and lock shots until they drop.
Pick up any cash and guns they drop.
Run your assigned errands after you have finished taking out the six gangsters.
Find the Snatch activity and perform it twice to earn enough respect to continue to the next mission.

Abandoned Storefront
Neighborhood Gained: Athos Bay

Find the abandoned building near the Snatch questgiver that’s being used as a stronghold for the Los Carnales gang.
Enter the building and kill everyone inside to successfully complete the mission.
As you enter through the rear, an informant will grab a vehicle and leave for Mission Beach.
Follow him to the beach.
Run him over when he leaves his car.
Killing him earns your second neighborhood and triggers your next mission.

Reclamation
Neighborhood Gained: Harrowgate

NOTE: Troy wants to head over to the gang fight on the Saints turf border and finish off the rival gangs in one shot.
Grab a four-door vehicle to take Troy, Vincent and alot of gun ammunition.
NOTE: Destroy all of the red dots on the map once you reach your destination.
Run in on foot and pop the domes with your pistol.
TIP: Killing the enemies on foot instead of from the car enables you to replenish ammo and gather cash from your deceased enemies.
NOTE: The cops arrive in a cruiser as you finish off the last lieutenant.
Shoot the cop who exits the vehicle.
Take the cop car.
Let any police reinforcements enter the gated area.
Take off to the north towards the nearby residential areas.
Find a narrow street.
Do hard cuts and 180s to ditch the cops.
NOTE: You may need to redo this mission a few times to get the hang of losing the cops.
NOTE: Successful completion wins another neighborhood and earns the respect of Vincent.
Perform some Activities to continue earning respect.

Vice Kings

Synopsis: The Vice Kings, run by Benjamin King, are the biggest, toughest gang in the city, controlling the most profitable districts including downtown.

Aisha’s Favor
Neighborhood Gained: Bavogian Plaza, Red Light District

NOTE: The Vice Kings are known for kidnapping girls and forcing them into prostitution. Your mission is to track and free the girls, beginning with Aisha's sister.
Follow Aisha’s sister’s kidnapper's car to the abandoned motel in the Red Light District.
After he pushes Aisha into the building, follow them inside.
Kill all of the Kings in the motel.
Approach the locked door. The pimp holding the key is the Tee'N'Ay, a nearby strip joint.
Head to the strip joint.
Kill the pimp.
Take the key from his body.
Return to the motel.
Rescue all three girls.
NOTE: You may need to ditch your homie to fit all 3 into your four-door car.
Drive the girls back to the church to complete the mission.

...To Kingdom Come
Neighborhood Gained: Union Square, Downtown District

NOTE: Your goal is to help Aisha disappear to get away from the Vice King's record label.
Take Aisha's car to the garage for loading with a car bomb.
TIP: Avoid collisions or too much crazy driving or you will set the car bomb off.
Open your map as soon as you leave the garage. You have five minutes before the bomb explodes.
You need to find an alternate route to the northern island to get around the jackknifed 18-wheeler on the main bridge leading north to Union Square.
Plot your way point down on the Freckle Bitch restaurant to the east.
Take a left on the highway.
Stay on the road going north.
NOTE: You also need to ditch Aisha's stalker, following you in a van.
TIP: The van can easily match the speed of your car, so you need to act quickly to ditch him before there is a crash and explosion.
Quickly make some 180 degree turns to lose him.
Brush him off on a telephone pole.
Drop Aisha off to successfully complete the mission.

Always Use Protection
Neighbordhood Gained: Prawn Court, Red Light District

Make your way through Saints territory into Vice Kings territory.
Pick up a homie and pistol ammunition as you pass through.
Head to the brothel.
Shoot your pistol into the driver's face of the first the four car patrols surrounding the brothel.
Grab the SMG he drops.
Take out the remaining three drivers with drive bys.
Kill the guards outside the brothel.
Enter the building.
Take out the remaining Vice Kings inside.
NOTE: Some prostitutes and customers may serve as collateral damage.
Pick up any cash dropped during the mission.

Reinforcements
Rewards: $1,500 Cash

NOTE: This mission introduces the Pushback mechanic: a rival gang attempts to come in and take back one of the territories that your crew took from them.
TIP: In this particular mission, the Kings hit back hard in Prawn Court.
Bring one of your homies with you to take care of this mission from your car.
Head back to Prawn Court.
Run down the lieutenants or shoot them from the vehicle.

Best Laid Plans...
Rewards: $1,000 Cash

Take Johnny's car and head to the abandoned police department.
Once inside, kill everything that moves.
Pick up any items dropped by those who are killed.
Head down to the jailhouse once these gang members are disposed of.
Locate the shotgun and SMG.
Punch the door in front of the SMG to grab it.
Track down Tanya.
NOTE: She is in a car with three cop and Vice King wanted stars.
Avoid the car in front of you.
Wait until the police approach.
Shoot the driver when he exits the car.
Take the cruiser.
Make your way back to the church.
Once you successfully arrive, the mission ends.

Green With Envy
Neighborhood Gained: Atlantis Avenue, High End Retail District

Track Tonya back to the rebuilding of the recording studio.
Kill the chauffeur.
Take his place.
Have Tonya drive you back to Tony.
Kill him and rescue Johnny.
TIP: This will be a long mission and no homies are available. Take some food along for the ride.

The Chaffeur

Go to the recording studio.
Watch the chauffeur pull away.
Roll up in front of the chauffeur's vehicle.
Stop your car.
Fire some rounds through the windshield at the driver's seat.
If this does not kill him, you will need to try to pull off a drive-by as he speeds away.
Tonya hops in once the driver is dead.
Take her on some shopping trips within the alotted amount of time.

Intervention

NOTE: Time to take Anthony down.
After some Friendly Fire, a group of rogue Saints pull up on the limo and try to take Tonya out.
Lose all three cars before you can drop off Tonya.
TIP: Try some quick 180s and hairpin turns to try to lock the cars up on each other. You may need to find an alley or weave into oncoming traffic to lose the last car.
Drop Tony aoff.
Head inside the condo.
Take care of Anthony and his thugs.
Free Johnny.
Return to Saints Row.

3rd Street Vice Kings
Neighborhoods Gained: Nob Hill, High End Retail District

NOTE: Finishing off these missions will help earn you enough respect to gain another homie. Some help will come in handy in the last few Vice King missions.
TIP: Keep plenty of ammo on hand for your SMG and shotguns.
Get police attention by blasting some civilians at the start of the mission.
Killing a cop is even better. This will get you close to two-star level, what you need to ramp up the game.
After you kill the cop, steal his car.
Head towards the high end retail district.
Kill some of the shopkeepers.
Jack the safe in the second shop.
Head over to the weird bowling-pin shaped flexible sculpture.
Hit the nearby ramp.
Knock the pins from the pedestal.
Get in the bulldozer.
Move quickly towards the statue of Alderman Hughes on your map and knock it down.

Round Peg, Square Hole
Neighborhoods Gained: Humboldt Park, Museum District

NOTE: Time to explose the Vice Kings links to the cops that provide their protection.
Hop in with Johnny. You will be riding shotgun for this mission.
NOTE: Infinite ammo is available for all of your weapons including the RPG and the AK-47.
Be ready with weapons as Johnny approaches five different meeting spots. One blast of the RPG into the middle of each meeting crowd should fulfill the mission requirement.
TIP: Try not to blow up too many cars that are right on top of you, or the explosion will damage your vehicle.

For King And Country
Neighborhood Gained: Amberbrook, Museum District

NOTE: To no one's surprise, Benjamin King did not die in the boardroom attack. Julius expects you to get to King and help him survive through the takedown the Kings are attemptign. Take a homie or two as well as a good car.
Make your way to the museum.
When you reach King, you find your path blocked.
Disembark and continue on foot.
Take cover behind concrete if the action gets too intense.
Keep an eye on King's health meter.
Sprint towards him and get him in your party if it dips too low.
NOTE: In this case, he will occupy one of your homie slots.
Hang around and kill all of the Kings in the area.
Take their ammo and cash.
Head towards the car you are being pointed towards.

Vehicular Homicide

Get in the car.
Dispatch the Vice King cars that are coming after you.
Get on Warren's tail.
Let King and your other homie fire at his car with their weapons to wear away at its health.
Ram his car whenever possible.
Try to take him out quick as he will run a pretty devious route to lose you.
Return to the church after you finish off Warren.
TIP: You are under a four-star Kings wanted level.
Try hitting a Forgive and Forget if your car is badly damaged.

The King And I
Neighborhood Gained: Brighton, Downtown District

NOTE: King knows of three gang hideouts in the northern part of town and wants to lure the Vice Kings holed up in each. Force them to chase you towards a police blockade, where they’ll get shot up by the cops. Your goal is to get an SUV, drive to the hidouts, fire a few shots, and survive enemy fire until you race to bring them back to the cops.

All The King’s Men
Neighborhood Gained: Adept Way, Downtown District
Unlocks: King’s Penthouse Crib; Johnny’s Car; Vice King Cars.

Pick up Stefan, the hairdresser, to get him to provide information about the Vice Kings building and elevator access.
Drive around while King holds him by his feet from the side of the car.
NOTE: Picking up Stefan will automatically give you three wanted stars with the police.
Make a beeline for the Forgive and Forget station.
Blast through the station to get the cops off your tail.

The Big Finish

Infiltrate the Vice Kings building.
Fight your way to the elevator on the second floor.
Make your way to the penthouse tower.
Clear out the penthouse in your search for Tonya.
Let Johnny and King do the brunt of the work so you are not taken out by one of the madams.
Kill Tonya to complete the mission and unlock extras.
With Tonya out of the way, the Vice Kings territory is yours to rule.

Los Carnales

Los Carnales are the oldest gang in the city, and ruled most of it until the Vice Kings took over.

Crack Down
Neighborhood Gained: Southern Cross, Barrio District; The Mills, Factories District.

NOTE: Your first goal is to cut off the Carnales cash supply by taking out their drug labs.
Get one of your homies.
Head to the drug lab locations on your maps.
Kill the guards.
Find the white barrels near the map markers.
Shoot them to destroy the lab equipment.

The Missing Shipment
Rewards: $500

NOTE: Find a truck for Dex.
Grab a car and some homies before starting the mission.
Troy will accompany you to the docks.
Run down any nearby gangsters until Troy has time to hotwire the truck.
Shoot at the drivers of any of the Los Carnales in cars trying to follow you or the SUV.
If you take any out, you can use their cars if yours needs to be replaced.
Troy will stop if he gets too far ahead. This is not good as any nearby Carnales will attack, but the truck has sufficient health to last for a while.

Homeland Security
Rewards: $750

NOTE: Your objective is to get Los Carnales out of the Row.
Grab some homies.
Get a car.
Try to let your homeboys drive-by on the enemies in cars.
When you roll up on Carnales that are on the streets, be careful, as the targets on your HUD will occasionally wield special weapons like Molotov Cocktails or rocket launchers.

Trojan Horse
Neighborhood Gained: Pilsen, Factories District

NOTE: Time to put Dex's plan into action and set up the Carnales drug factory.
Load up the SUV with Saints.
Drive it into the factory.
TIP: Try to avoid collisions as they cause explosions on impact.
Unload everyone.
Get to the back of the factory.
Take the factory by force.
Kill everyone in the factory.
Don't forget the soldiers on top of the scaffolding.
Shoot the white barrels under them to destroy their platforms and take them out easily.

McManus Says Hello
Neighborhood Gained: Poseidon Alley, Docks & Warehouses District

NOTE: You will lose all of your rifle ammo when you take on this mission, but will earn a McManus sniper rifle, necessary to take care of the guys on the docks.
Begin outside the gun shop.
Run inside.
Open the safe in the back for some easy cash.
Run outside.
Grab the mission. The cop wanted stars will vanish.
NOTE: You now have five minutes to get to the docks.
Grab a speedy car and get moving.
TIP: The more quickly you get there, the more time you'll have to zoom up the fire escape near where you park and head to the top of the building to assume a sniping position.
Get out of your vehicle at the docks.
Hop onto the boxes.
Leap up onto the dumpster.
Run up the fire escape.
Walk across the wood plank on the top to get to the other building.
Climb u the air conditioning to get to the top.
Take up your position and the timer will reset to indicate the arrival of Hector and the Colombians.
NOTE: Hector is wearing a long coat.
Snipe Hector in the back when he walks over to the Colombians.
NOTE: This shuts down the timer for eliminating the remaining eleven soldiers.
Return to cover. These guys have rocket launchers on hand.
Sneak around from cover and sweep from right to left, killing the first rocket soldier you see.
Duck back to reoload.

Meeting Orejuela
Rewards: $1,500

Grab a four-door car.
Get Dex and a few other homies.
Head to the airport.
TIP: Make sure your car is not too damaged before entering the green circle in front of the strip club.
Once you enter the circle, Carnales will flood the area.
Hit the street immediately.
Check your map.
Place a waypoint on the Forgive and Forget northwest of the airport.
NOTE: This eliminates the Carnales interference and lets you return to the church.

Strength In Numbers
Rewards: $3,000

Get ready for the Carnales enforces planning a raid on the church.
Obtain an RPG launcher and some grenades prior to the start of this mission.
The basic premise of this mission is the same as those that came before: kill anything that moves.
Clear out the church.
Head south to the graveyard and eliminate any enemies.
Head north to finish up the toughest part of the fight.
TIP: Hide in the church until your health regenerates if you get hurt.
Wait for Victor to arrive in a Humvee.
Run out into the street as he approaches, stand in the path of the Humvee and destroy his vehicle with the RPG launcher.
TIP: It will require two hits with the launcher.
Victor should be engulfed in flames from the launcher explosions when he exits the vehicle.
Finish him off with three or four blasts to the chest with your 12-gauge shotgun.

Possession With Intent
Neighborhood Gained: Encanto, Barrio District

NOTE: You will have five cop wanted stars for this mission, so bring plenty of SMG ammo, homies, etc.
Rig up the bomb.
Drive quickly to the police station before the timer runs out.
TIP: Watch out for collisions.
Wait a full three minutes when the bomb goes off for your homies to load it up.
NOTE: Police cruisers will stop to give you trouble every 30 seconds or so. Have your pistol or SMG ready to pop them through the windshield.
Head east to the closest Forgive and Forget store once the three minutes is up.
TIP: The trickest part will be avoiding oncoming traffic.
After you go through F&F, get back to the church to successfully complete the mission.

House Call
Neighborhood Gained: Ezpata, Barrio District

Grab Dex and a couple more homies.
Head to the Lopez mansion to take out any of the remaining brothers.
Proceed slowly and clear the place out.
NOTE: The remaining Lopez brother is able to make his escape from the mansion before you can kill him.
Dex heads after Lopez while you take care of the remainder of the Carnales.
Use rocket launchers and your assault rifle to keep them away from your vehicle until the mission ends.

What Goes Up...
Neighborhood Gained: Wardill Airport, Airport District
Rewards: Lopez Mansion crib; Dex's Car; Los Carnales Cars

NOTE: You are tasked with stopping Lopez from boarding the plane to get out of town and rebuilding a base of operations elsewhere.
Take Dex's car.
Follow the freeway path to the first blue marker.
TIP: It is important to keep your car in good shape.
NOTE: Get ready to blow up the plane. It's the only way to keep it from leaving with Lopez.
NOTE: This is one of those missions you are going to have to play through a few times until you get the hang of where all of the RPG soldiers are so you can effectively blast them with your AK-47.
Watch for the white canisters on rooftops.
Shoot at them to take out the RPG soldiers.
Once you manage to kill the RPG soldiers, you can reach the runway.
If there is any life left in your vehicle, you should be able to take out the plan with some RPG rounds.

Westside Rollerz

The Westside Rollerz are the shortest and easiest of the three gangs. If you want to add an extra homie in a short time, this is a good gang to take on.

Stacking The Deck
Rewards: $500

NOTE: Lin asks you to get her a truck.
Grab a car and head out to the truck's location on the freeway.
Deal a set amount of damage to it by either shooting or ramming it.
When the truck pulls over, hop out and hijack it.
NOTE: This will earn you the enmity of the Rollerz.
Drive the truck a bit down the freeway.
Stick to the shoulder to avoid ramming other vehicles.
Scrape off the Rollerz in pursuit by sticking close to the traffic on your left.
Mission ends when you reach the exit ramp.

Samson's Surprise
Neighborhoods Gained: Chinatown, Chinatown District

After getting the mission from Lin, Troy will pull up outside and offer up his car for the race.
Hit the markers in the race while staying close to one of the cars.
Given enough time, Troy will taunt them into hitting the NOS, resulting in their quick death.
NOTE: This is a very lonnnnnnnnnnng race.
TIP: Be sure to actually hit the waypoints. If you miss one, other cars will act strangely.

Pleasant View Storage
Neighborhoods Gained: Pleasant View, Arena District

Bring as many homies and grenades as possible.
Head to the storage area.
Begin blowing up cars.
If you brought homies, stay in the car, drive around to each open storage area, throw a grenade at the cars marked as targets.
TIP: If you were too short on cash to buy grenades, hop into the cars, drive them near the explosive barrels and shoot the barrels.

Guardian Angel
Neighborhoods Gained: Sommerset, Apartments District

NOTE: Lin's next plan involves a staged attack on the Rollerz.
Take some homies.
Head to Donnie's car shop.
Run over the Rollerz hanging around outside the shop, or have your homies gun them down.
Head inside, killing off any remaining guards on the way in.
Do not kill Donnie yet. (You can distinguish who he is by the green arrow).
NOTE: Donnie escapes and is picked up by Lin.
Hop into the nearby Halberd.
Chase Lin.
Once she gets to the Suburbs, you will need to let them go.
Stop and drive in the opposite direction to complete the mission.

Escort Service
Reward: $1,500

NOTE: Your objective is to stop the Rollerz from hijacking a three-truck convoy.
Take two or three homies for this driving mission.
Stock up on SMG ammo from the gun shop as this will require lots of firing from vehicles to destroy the cars belonging to the Rollerz.
Focus on killing the drivers by running up alongside the left side of each car and blasting them.
Once the first two trucks are safe, switch to the fastest car you can find before making your way to the final truck.
Speed towards it and shoot up the Rollerz before they can destroy it.
Get close.
Hop out of your car.
Use your biggest weapon to finish them off.

One Step Ahead
Reward: $2,000

NOTE: The Rollerz are trying to hijack four cars around the city for parts. You have been charged with finding the cars and destroying them before the Rollerz can get their hands on them.
Bring lots of homies and grenades.
Race towards each car as it pops up on your HUD.
Kill any Rollerz that may be running towards them.
Kill the Roller.
Destroy the car by throwing a grenade under it.
NOTE: If you don't get to the car before the Roller gets in, chase them down and start shooting. Once you shoot, your homies will follow suit.

Liberation
Neighborhoods Gained: Ultor Dome, Arena District

Head to the pool hall with some homies and grenades.
Bring along a lot of SMG ammo.
Kick open the door.
Run down the street a little bit to dodge any cars.
Destroy the cars.
Head inside the building.
Start throwing grenades around the corner into the main part of the pool hall.
Head in with your homies to lighten up the rest of the crowd.
Throw grenades upstairs before you make your way there.
Run up and kill any remaining soldiers.
The mission ends as soon as you get to the upstairs storage room.
Watch the cutscene.
NOTE: You are shot and about to be dumped into the ocean.

Burying Evidence
Rewards: $3,000

NOTE: Your mission is to exact vengeance on Sharp for his poor treatment of you and Lin.
Sprint down to the end of the alley into the Bootlegger within two minutes.
Look for the steps to the left.
Find a homie when you reach the Bootlegger.
Find Sharp's car.
Give chase if necessary and unload your SMG into it.
NOTE: When the car explodes, Sharp and his buddies will jump out.
Shoot him until he is dead to end the mission.

No Time To Mourn
Rewards: $4,000

NOTE: Lin is dead. The Rollerz are on their way to Saints Row to burn it to the ground. Get ready to take them on with Julius.
Pick up at least one ammo pack for the most expensive automatic rifle.
Switch places with Julius when you reach your destination on the highway so that he is driving and you are riding shotgun.
Shoot the drivers of the nine or ten Rollerz cars on the highway before they can get to the Row.
When all of the cars are incapacitated, Price will eject you from your car, forcing you to let him escape.
Finish off any remaining Rollerz strongholds.
Assault Price's mansion and clear it out.
Steal Price's car and head to the nearest Forgive and Forget.
Answer your cell phone which rings with one last mission.

Semi-Charmed Life
Rewards: $5,000
Unlocks: Price Mansion Crib, Julius's Car, Westside Rollerz Cars

NOTE: The final Rollerz mission takes place on the Stilwater highways. Price tries to run an 18-wheeler full of Rollerz cars into the Row.
Hop into the nearby Bootlegger.
Chase Price to the highway.
Pick up any teammates you spot on the road before you get to the highway if you can.
Get homies to help defend you while on the highway.
Use SMGs to destroy the cars on the semi trailer when you catch up to it.
Watch out for pipe bombs that Price drops on the road a few car lengths behind the semi... consequently it will be helpful to stay on either side of the semi rather than behind it.
After the cars are destroyed, take out the semi.
About all you can do is fire at the cab and hope that you destroy it before you are taken out yourself.
It will help to stay to the right of the cab.
If you take too much damage, shoot out the driver of a Rollerz car.
Hop into the car and hope you can get back on Price's trail before he gets away.

3rd Street Saints Final Missions

Stuffing The Ballot
Rewards: $3,000

NOTE: The chief of police has issued a hit on Marshal Winslow, one of the mayoral candidates of Stilwater.
Hop into the car as soon as you answer your cell phone.
Head towards Chinatown.
Locate the campaign van surrounded by multiple police cars.
Fire on the bus with your homies until the driver abandons the bus.
Board the bus.
Turn around and head in the opposite direction.
Park the bus on the railroad trakcs.
Hop out and wait.

Hail To The Chief
Rewards: $5,000

Pick up some greandes and get Johnny to help you take out the Chief of Police.
Make your way to the funeral home for Winslow's viewing.
Johnny will take out most of the half dozen cop cars as soon as you arrive.
NOTE: This ups your level to five wanted stars.
Wait in the street after destroying the vehicles.
Shoot out the driver of one of the incoming FBI vehicles.
Use it to begin making your way to the F&F.
Slow down as much as possible as you approach the entrance.
Quickly veer in to clear your level.

Salting The Earth
Rewards: $5,000

Congratulations on completing Saints Row!
Watch the very long cutscene and the credits.
If you want to play the game after this mission, save it before starting the mission.
