Wolverine's Nemesis
Though Sabertooth has fought alongside other evil mutants, notably in a team organized by Mr. Sinister, his main function has always been as the nemesis of Wolverine, the heroic mutant. Fittingly, most of Sabertooths powers are the same as Wolverine's. He has a healing factor, which allows his wounds to heal at an extraordinary rate. He also has superhumanly keen senses, smelling his opponents long before they are within sight. Finally, he has razor-sharp claws at the ends of his fingers, which differ in form but are identical in function to Wolverine's adamantium claws. Being so evenly matched, the two adversaries have had numerous battles with different outcomes, but they typically last for a very long time.
