In The Battle of Argus, the Diskarmor is the main weapon of Rygar, the main character. Resembling a shield with spikes attached to its sides, the Diskarmor is swung on a chain so that Rygar can hit enemies from far away. The Diskarmor has more than 30 different moves, and can be used to do everything from throw an enemy into another enemy for a two-in-one kill or act as a pseudo-grappling hook for traveling across gaps.GameRankings: Rygar The Legendary Adventure Review In Rygar The Battle of Argus, you can use the Wii Remote's motion controls to perform finishing moves with the Diskarmor.

Diskarmor Details
Though Rygar will never acquire another weapon like a sword or hammer, he does get different types of the Diskarmor over the course of the game. There are three types of Diskarmor, and each has its own set of strengths and weaknesses making each appropriate for certain situations. The first Diskarmor is average in all its attributes, the second one has reach and strength but is slow, while the last one is extremely fast but lacks power and can only hit enemies that are close up.Diskarmor can also be customized and upgraded using the experience that you'll gain when you collect a purple orb in the game.GameSpot: Rygar The Legendary Adventure Review These orbs can be slotted into each Diskarmor to give Rygar bonuses in battle. Furthermore, each Diskarmor contains the spirit of a unique animal. During battle, Rygar can summon this animal to assist him by using a powerful attack on a boss or group of enemies.

Rygar The Battle of Argus Diskarmor Info
- There are three Diskarmors in the game: Hades, Sea and Heavenly. They are collected at key moments in the game.
- Each Diskarmor can be upgraded to level 2 for 1000 Build-Up Points, and level 3 for 2000 points. The higher the level, the stronger the attack power, the more Mystic Stones can be equipped, and Rygar can use higher levels of summon.
- Note that Rygar initially starts with the "regular" Diskarmor and it will be upgraded to Hades after defeating Icarus. The regular Diskarmor cannot be upgraded, equip Mystic Stones, or summon.
- Move key for the Diskarmor moves/combos is as such: A for A button, B for B button, S implies "swinging the Wiimote", and Sr implies "swinging the Wiimote repeatedly".
- Hades Diskarmor
- This Diskarmor has phenomenal range and good speed. The range makes it very good for boss fights and it has powerful attacks. It is also the only one that has the "Snap" move, a move that lets Rygar whip enemies about and throw them. Notable moves and combos are below.
- AAA, AAAA: This basic combo is actually very effective. Great range, speed, and usability, and does quite a bit of damage to bosses. It even covers Rygar's backside well. The AAA version leaves Rygar far less vulnerable than AAAA.
- B: The B button launches a long range snap that is good for snagging items across gaps. However, Rygar tends to step forward while using it, so be careful not to let it drag Rygar off a cliff.
- ABBS: The S in this combo has HUGE range, the longest in the game. Excellent not just for attacking enemies you must stay away from, but also for snagging objects and targets across gaps.
- Snap: Hold A to "snap" the Hades Diskarmor into an enemy. Use the analog to throw the enemy in a direction, or shake the Wiimote repeatedly to whip the enemy about.
- AAAS: This must be unlocked; you can find it in a gold treasure idol at Labyrinthos Palace (on a ledge above the Minotaur statues). This move will make short work of the Dopplegangers and Giant Knight enemies, as well as a decent attack against some bosses.
- Heavenly Diskarmor
- This Diskarmor covers Rygar's sides and even rear when swung. Its flaw is that it is slow, so some skill and anticipation with this weapon is necessary, or the enemies will just overwhelm Rygar. However, once Rygar gets going it can easily flatten whole swathes of regular enemies. It's also great for specialized situations. Notable moves and combos are below.
- ABBSr, BBBSr: One of the best moves in the game. The Sr will cause Rygar to spin repeatedly, smashing all in his path. Rygar will spin up to four times. Very useful to quickly take down a crowd, especially in the Necromodio Cave. Don't wait for a crowd to close in before starting this move.
- ABS: The strongest 3-hit combo in the game. Fast and can do fearsome damage; excellent move against many bosses.
- AAB: Holding the last B will creates a vortex that sucks in monsters. It is good for grouping enemies together and outright killing hordes of smaller vermin like Karkinoses and Hyacinthi.
- Remote: Hold A, or press A, then release and hold A. Rygar will stop the Diskarmor mid-swing and have it spin in place as a top. Aimed properly and this will kill strong enemies like Cyclopses quite effectively.
- AASr: This must be unlocked; you can find it in plain sight on the way up Mt. Othrys. This combo does a massive circular sweep of all around Rygar. As with most of this Diskarmor's moves, do not wait for the crowds to gather before unleashing this move.
- Sea Diskarmor
- Perhaps the best Diskarmor for standard combat. Fast, powerful, especially with good mystic stones such as Tanatos. The combos can tear bosses and tough single enemies like Cyclopses to shreads. It also has a great many unlockable moves and variety of attacks. It lacks range, but that is easily dealt with careful maneuvering. Notable moves and combos are below.
- AAA, AAAA, AAAAA: Its standard combo is one of its best and does collosal damage especially if the full string connects and Tanatos is equipped.
- B: Pressing B performs an uppercut that stuns regular enemies for a long time. Excellent stun move.
- AAABBS: One of the most damaging combos in the game, although striking an enemy with the whole chain takes skill.
- Tracer: Hold A. Rygar will drop the Diskarmor. Release it to have it return to Rygar; it will cut down all in its way on its return for big damage. This move is VERY handy in key situations, especially against Cetus and True Icarus.
- AAASr: This must be unlocked by breaking the gold idol in Labyrinthos Palace Left Tower 3F. By shaking the Wiimote after the third A, Rygar will charge up. When you stop shaking the Wiimote, Rygar will fly forward and begin a vicious auto-combo that ends in an uppercut that stuns even some bosses. Rygar is invulnerable during the animation, which is also helpful. Its only drawback is the charge-up and that some bosses have immunity to the auto-combo (but never the uppercut).
- AAAASr: This must be unlocked by breaking the gold idol hidden in Mountain Trail. Travel along the cliffside leading to the Tower that takes Rygar to the Lion's Road. Instead of jumping towards the Tower, break the nearby rock outcropping to reveal a secret route. Drop off the edge of the secret route for the idol. The Sr charge-up will momentarily freeze time, during which Rygar will slide forward and cut down everything in range. Powerful move if Rygar is able to charge up the technique to the max.
