Ryane Clowe

  • Career Highlights

    Like many young Canadians, Clowe began his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He was drafted 175th overall in the 2001 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Clowe continued in the QMJHL for three years after the draft, then joined the Sharks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Barons, in 2003. He made his NHL debut with the Sharks in the 2005-06 regular season, playing 18 regular season games plus one game of the playoffs. Clowe continued with the Sharks through the 2007-08 regular season, but was limited to just 15 games that year after tearing ligaments in his knee.
