Ryan Speier

Ryan Speier is a right-handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. After attending Radford University in Virginia, Speier signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2001. After four years as a pitching prospect in the Rockies farm system, Speier mad his major league debut on April 4, 2005. In his debut, Speier retired two batters in a tied game against the San Diego Padres, and got the Rockies out of the inning. The outing resulted in Speiers' first big league win.

Strengths

At 6'7" Speier is tall, and a delivers the ball various arm slots. He has a 90mph fastball.

Weaknesses

Speier tends to be less effective with runners on base.
