Ryan Speier is a right-handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. After attending Radford University in Virginia, Speier signed with the Rockies as an amateur free agent in 2001. After four years as a pitching prospect in the Rockies farm system, Speier mad his major league debut on April 4, 2005. In his debut, Speier retired two batters in a tied game against the San Diego Padres, and got the Rockies out of the inning. The outing resulted in Speiers' first big league win.
