In 1997, Phillippe started dating Reese Witherspoon. The couple became engaged a year later. Soon after that, they were paired up to star in Cruel Intentions. On June 5, 1999, the couple was married in a small ceremony in South Carolina. The couple welcomed a daughter, Ava Elizabeth on September 9, 1999. On October 23, 2003, they welcomed another child, a son named Deacon Reese. On November 8, 2006, Witherspoon filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce became final on June 13, 2008. -
