He opted to play college football at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he entered into the NFL draft as a senior. Although he went undrafted, Neufeld signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played for a year. After Dallas he played for the Jaguars, and eventually landed in Buffalo, where he has been for the past five years.
