    Maseth's parents have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against KBR, the electrical contractor responsible for the building.   • KBR Wants Suit Thrown Out

    In May of 2008, KBR asked federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Maseth's parents. The contractor, a former subsidiary of Halliburton, said in its filing that the case "raises inherently political questions involving... military policy level and tactical decision making ... and the direction the military provided to KBR regarding needed repair work." KBR has stated "the safety and security of all employees remains KBR's priority, and we remain committed to pledging our full cooperation with the agencies involved in investigating this matter."
