Ryan Langerhans is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently an outfielder for the Washington Nationals.
Early Life
Ryan David Langerhans was born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 20, 1980. He attended Round Rock High School. In 1998, he was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the third round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.
Pro Career
On April 28, 2002, Langerhans made his MLB debut with the Atlanta Braves. His breakthrough season came in 2005, when he appeared in 128 games for the Braves. He finished that season with a .267 batting average with 42 runs batted in and eight home runs. In 2007, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics, and then several days later to the Washington Nationals. He appeared in 103 games for the Nationals, finishing with a .198 batting average, six home runs and 22 runs batted in.
