Ryan Johnson is a professional hockey player originally from Canada. He currently plays for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.

Early Years
Prior to playing in the NHL, Johnson attended and played for the University of North Dakota. He was drafted 36th overall in the 1994 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. Johnson spent one season with the Panthers American Hockey League affiliate, then made his NHL debut in 1997. Three years later he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 14, 2000. Johnson's stay in Tampa did not last long however as he was sent back to the Panthers on July 10, 2001Recent Years
Johnson was waived by the Panthers during the 2002-03 regular season and picked up by the St. Louis Blues on February 19, 2003. He then played with the Missouri River Otters in the United Hockey League during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. Johnson returned to the Blues in 2005 and renewed his contract with the team as a restricted free agent.
