Ryan Ray Franklin was born in Fort Smith, Arizona on March 5, 1973. He attended college at Seminole Oklahoma Junior College. In 1992, Franklin was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 23rd round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.Baseball-Reference.com: Ryan Franklin
Pro Career
On May 15, 1999, Franklin made his MLB debut with the Seattle Mariners. In 2006, he was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies and later traded to the Cincinnati Reds. In 2007, he signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Cardinals.
