    Ryan Fitzpatrick was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2005 draft. He played his first game against the Houston Texans on November 27, 2005 where he led the team to a 33-27 overtime win after trailing 24-3 at halftime. Fitzpatrick started in three more games for the Rams in place of injured starter Jamie Martin. Fitzpatrick threw for 777 yards with four touchdowns and right interceptions in his rookie season.     After playing in only one game during the 2006 season, Fitzpatrick was traded to the Bengals in 2007 as a backup to Carson Palmer. In 2008, Palmer was forced to sit out with an injury, giving Fitzpatrick his first start as a Bengals. Fitzpatrick led the Bengals to their first win of the season on November 2 by beating the Jacksonville Jaguars 21-19.
